Hardware installation and wiring
1. Circuit breaker installation: Install the RS485 circuit breaker on a standard 35mm guide rail to ensure a secure installation. The circuit breaker should be installed vertically and ensure that its operating handle can be opened and closed normally
2. Communication cable connection: Use shielded twisted pair cables (such as RVSP 2 × 1.0mm ²) for communication connection. Connect the A+terminals of all devices in parallel together, and also connect all B – terminals in parallel together to form a bus topology. Star or ring connections should be avoided to reduce signal reflection
3. Shielding layer grounding: Reliable single point grounding of the shielding layer at the PLC or power supply end to prevent ground loop interference
4. Terminal resistance matching: Connect a 120 Ω terminal resistor in parallel between A+and B – at the farthest end of the communication line (the circuit breaker farthest from the PLC) to eliminate signal reflection
5. Power connection: Ensure that the circuit breaker is provided with the auxiliary power required for its operation, such as DC12V
